Our Foundation – God’s Word
Through all of our books, study guides, coaching, and resources, we hope to challenge your thinking. If you are a Christian, we hope to stretch you to learn more about God and have a deeper appreciation for His wisdom on relationships. If you are not a Christian, our prayer is you will be open to not only embrace the principles covered in our resources but will also explore what it would mean to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
The authority of the Christian faith is the Bible. The Bible is a collection of 66 books divided into the Old Testament (39 books) and the New Testament (27 books). The Old Testament was written at various times from about 1200 B.C. to 165 B.C. Christians wrote the New Testament books in the 1st century A.D. While the Bible is a collection of books written over a long period of time, the Bible tells one unfolding story of redemption against the backdrop of creation and humanity’s fall into sin. It is a story in which Israel in the Old Testament and the Church in the New Testament both teach about God and His relation to the world. The Bible from beginning to end points to Jesus which prompted Martin Luther, the leader of the Protestant Reformation, to say you “can find Christ on every page of the Bible.”
Statement of Faith
The Bible is not just a historic book. All the words in the Bible are God’s words and God’s Word is truth – there is no higher standard. Explore resources that strengthen your faith and help you build healthier relationships with God’s wisdom through our books, guides, and coaching. The Bible is necessary for knowledge of the gospel, for maintaining spiritual life, and for direction in our lives. Finally, the Bible contains everything a Christian needs to trust and obey God perfectly.
While we don’t aim to provide a systematic theology on relationships, the Bible offers many insightful perspectives, and our books and resources frequently reference relationships. Besides learning how to grow healthy long-lasting relationships in your life, we are confident that you will benefit from applying God’s wisdom to every part of your life. Wherever you are in life, we are confident that the penetrating truth of God’s Word will provide hope and encouragement for you now and in your future.
